An SKU or stock-keeping unit it’s a unique code or number used for a specific product. The SKU allows you to automatically track the movement of your inventory.

An SKU is composed of an alphanumeric combination of eight characters or more.

SKUs are alphanumeric and are meant to provide information on the most important characteristics of a product — price, color, style, brand, gender, type, and size, for example.

This information should be added in an SKU in the order of its importance, meaning it should start with the most needed information and continue with the least.

Keep in mind the SKU field is optional on AppScenic Product Pages and you don’t have to fill it in if you don’t want to.
